FJN seeks an Editorial Admin

by | Jan 14, 2026 | FJN News | 0 comments

The FJN has a remote opportunity for an editorial person with an interest in the science of consciousness, spirituality and other natural phenomena – plus the media’s coverage of such topics. We anticipate 8-12 hours of work per month at a rate of 30 GBP/hour; hours of work are flexible.

We are an international group of editorial people – writers, editorial, broadcasters, podcasters, book authors, and communicators – working to make it easier for journalists to cover these once-fringe topics that are increasingly penetrating mainstream coverage. We need help scouting potential stories, and creating and editing content for our newsletter and website (frontiernet.org).

The FJN is a working group of a larger educational charity, so this is a “paid volunteer” position not an employment contract; it’s ideal for a freelancer.

The editorial admin will be a valuable asset to the organisation by:

  • Handling basic communications among the steering group members, such as setting up calendar invites for meetings and checking on progress of action points.
  • Reviewing news sources for research developments and media coverage on our topics.
  • In collaboration with the steering group, writing items for the email newsletter, then drafting and sending it.
  • Streamlining the email subscriber list.
  • Social media support.

Desired skills

  • Solid writing and editing.
  • Interest in the science of consciousness, spirituality and other phenomena (Near-Death Experiences, meditation, UAPs, all things psi), and media coverage of these topics.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, including an excellent command of the English language.
  • Experience with MailChimp and WordPress.
  • Comfortable with social media.

APPLY BY JAN. 26

Please apply by sending an email to FJN Chair Liza Horan at , with a short paragraph on each of the following:

  • Why this role interests you
  • How your experience lends itself to this role

Be sure to include a link to your LinkedIn profile and any other social media account you’d like to share.
