The Nanobiosym Global Summit 2.0: Global Convergence takes place at Kresge Auditorium on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Mass. Speakers and participants will address topics such as “Quantum Leaps in Health Care,” “Unlocking Human Potential,” and “The Future of the Human Race.”
Summit host Dr. Anita Goel, Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, has coined the term “The Fifth Industrial Revolution” to describe futuristic applications for cutting edge physics, biomedicine and nanotechnology. She advocates a rethinking of science in light of consciousness being fundamental to reality. This paradigm shift can spawn beneficial technologies, and provide a spiritual purpose to modern western society.
Consciousness studies will provide a thematic thread between plenary speakers representing multidisciplinary fields from neurophysiology and astrophysics to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) research.
A physicist, physician, and nanotech innovator, Goel is the chair and CEO of Nanobiosym, an innovation engine dedicated to creating the new science. An Indian-American, she credits her childhood study of Vedanta philosophy as an inspiration to her career exploration in science and health.
“There’s kind of two worldviews in which we can look at consciousness”, Goel has said. “One is consciousness is this emergent phenomenon that just comes out of matter when it’s sufficiently complex, and the other is consciousness is this underlying field, kind of like in quantum field theory… and matter, energy and space/time emerge out of that.”
The documentary movie Quantum Convergence by filmmaker Paul Howard premieres at the summit.
Summit sponsors include Scientific American magazine and the Institute of Noetic Sciences, which is testament to the interweaving of non-physical phenomena and science.
